Fair value for annual plan

I needed to make some event registration forms and looked around for options. The Individual Advantage Plan seemed like the best deal, especially since I opted for the annual billing to get the discount. It saved me a good chunk compared to monthly. The form builder was simple to navigate, and I got my forms live without any fuss. For what I paid, it felt like a solid investment for the functionality I received.

Reliable choice for market research

I've been using SurveyMonkey for various market research needs for a few years now, typically with the Team Premier plan. This latest time, I was setting up an NPS Survey, and it was just as reliable as always. The platform is consistent, and I appreciate that I don't have to relearn everything with each new project. Their customer service also helped me clarify some specifics about the SurveyMonkey Audience feature last year, which was helpful. It's my go-to because I know what to expect, and it consistently delivers on my expectations for data collection and reporting.

Good for simple surveys

I used the Individual Advantage Plan for a small project to get some customer feedback. The survey creation tools were pretty straightforward, and I liked how easy it was to customize the look. The data analysis tools were decent for basic reporting. My only real gripe was that some of the more advanced features, like detailed skip logic, felt a bit buried in the menus. It took a little digging to set up exactly what I needed. Overall, it was a good value for what I paid, but a slightly more intuitive interface for complex options would be nice.

Is SurveyMonkey legit? I'm worried about data privacy and if my surveys will look professional.

E Elena Q. 1 month ago
Totally legit, it's one of the biggest survey platforms out there. Used it for years for work and never had issues with professionalism or data security. They're pretty serious about that stuff.

Yeah, SurveyMonkey is totally fine. Been around forever. Your data is secure, they're even HIPAA compliant for some plans, and you can brand your surveys to look super professional.

Thinking about getting the Individual Advantage plan but the Premier seems like it has more bells and whistles. Is it worth the extra money for a small business?

A Anna R. 2 months ago
From what I remember, Advantage has enough for most things. The Premier just adds a few super specific features like more advanced skip logic and maybe some branding stuff. Check the comparison table on their site.

Yeah, I have Advantage and it's been totally fine for my small biz surveys. Unless you're doing super complex stuff or need really intense data exports, you probably don't need Premier.

I heard about an AI survey builder feature. Does it actually work well or is it just a gimmick?

T Troy P. 2 months ago
I used the AI builder once for a quick feedback survey and it actually did a decent job drafting questions. Still needed some tweaking, but it saved me a lot of brainstorming time.

It's not perfect, but it's a good starting point. Like, it'll generate some relevant questions based on your topic. Definitely not a gimmick, but don't expect it to write the whole thing for you.

How many responses do you actually get with the free account? Is it enough to test things out?

G Gwen Hughes 1 month ago
I think it's 10 responses per survey with a max of 100 total across all your surveys. It's fine for testing the waters and seeing how it works, but not for serious data collection.

The free tier is pretty limited, like 10 questions per survey and you can only see a certain number of responses. Good to get a feel for the interface though.

trying to decide between SurveyMonkey and Typeform. I mostly need something for quick customer feedback forms, nothing super fancy. Any thoughts?

R Ryan 2 months ago
Typeform looks cooler, but SurveyMonkey is probably more robust if you need to do any kind of serious analysis later. For quick feedback, either probably works honestly.

SurveyMonkey has a free tier, so you could always try that first and see if it fits your needs. Typeform's free version is pretty limited I think. Plus, SM has better reporting tools if you expand.
